Fey laminar rings

THN has represented the German company Fey Lamellenringe on the Dutch market since 2006. However, we have been supplying these steel labyrinth seals much longer than that. We also have extensive experience in the application and operation of these products. Over the years we have built up a large stock of laminar rings.

Fey laminar rings are high-grade steel seals and retaining rings that have been used for years in various sealing constructions. The laminar rings are used among other things for grease sealing in ball and slide bearings, seals in flexible exhaust couplings, protective seals in train wheels and flange couplings and retaining rings for piston pins, among other things.

The laminar rings come in various types of materials, the most common materials being:

Types

Type	Description
FK2	Laminar piston ring for combustion engines, compressors, pneumatic and hydraulic applications, etc.
FK4	Laminar piston ring for pistons of sledgehammers, linear actuators and presses.
FK3	Single-wound laminar rings for, among other things, sealing grease-lubricated ball and slide bearings.
FK5 / FK5 HFL	Single and/or double-wound laminar rings for, among other things, slide joints in combustion engines, turbochargers and turbines. Also often used for sealing bearings in continuous casting plants.
FK6	Double-wound laminar rings for, among other things, sealing grease-lubricated ball and slide bearings with specific requirements and/or high rotational speeds.
FK7	Single or double-wound laminar retaining rings.
FK8	Plastic laminar ring carrier seals for sealing grease-lubricated shaft and machine bearings and conveyor belts.
