Piston rings

Our piston ring selection consists of a wide range of piston rings for many applications. Since 1970, THN has amassed an extremely large stock that continues to grow every year. Our stock consists of more than 4,000,000 piston rings in diameters of 14 mm to 520 mm, 80 different models and 20 different types.

We have been supplying piston rings to the automotive, industrial and maritime industries for many years. Our customer base consists of overhaul companies (both automotive and maritime), producers in the hydraulic and pneumatic industries, and many other sectors. Our piston rings are typically used as a seal between a piston and a cylinder, but they may also be used in exhaust seals, shaft seals, turbines, turbos and gearboxes.

Stock / Production

THN can usually supply the desired piston rings from stock. If the piston rings are not in stock, they can be produced, in which case delivery times from 24 hours are possible. We are also able to produce customer-specific piston rings and, if desired, we can keep them in stock for you.

Materials

Most of our stock consists of cast iron (GG25) piston rings. However, we also supply various other materials, such as pearlitic alloy cast iron (GGL) and nodular alloy cast iron (GGGL). Piston rings made from various grades of steel, bronze or plastic are also possible.

We use the following code to specify the type, model and size:
