FK7 laminar retaining rings

Single and double wound laminar retaining rings

FK7 are single or double wound steel retaining rings. They are available in both internally and externally clamping versions. FK7 retaining rings are used for axial locking and are used in transmission systems, agricultural vehicles and the locking of parts in the automotive industry.

FK7 retaining rings are available in various lock designs with a straight lock, slanted lock or with a recess.

Advantages of the double-wound versions are:

  • Due to the double winding, the contact with the full circumference of the groove is guaranteed
  • More stable due to the uniform dynamic weight during rotation
  • Possibility of a higher axial load than with single-wound versions
